Community Code of Conduct

How we show up for each other.

Integro is a space for people engaged in psychedelic-assisted therapy — before, during, and after. The shared experience here is powerful, and it comes with responsibility. By participating in this community, you agree to uphold these principles.

Our foundation

Integro seeks to cultivate a safe, respectful, and caring space — especially when users interact with each other or AI tools on the Platform. This community exists to support you. The people here understand what it means to be in this process. That shared experience is what makes it meaningful, and this Code of Conduct exists to protect it.

Principle 1: Hold space with care

Some members of this community may be in acutely vulnerable states — preparing for a challenging journey, integrating a difficult experience, or navigating unexpected emotional terrain. Treat every interaction as if the person on the other side is going through something significant. They probably are.

Holding space with care means you:

  • Lead with curiosity and compassion, not judgment.
  • Acknowledge that your experience of this process is yours — it may not apply to someone else.
  • Recognize when someone needs more support than a peer community can offer, and gently encourage them to seek it.

Principle 2: Share from your own experience

Storytelling and shared experience are at the heart of the Integro community. Responsible sharing means recognizing the important line between sharing your journey and directing someone else's.

Sharing from your own experience means you:

  • Use “I” language. Speak from your own experience, not as an authority.
  • Avoid prescriptive advice (“You should…”, “What you need to do is…”).
  • Do not make recommendations about substances, dosing, sourcing, or clinical protocols to anyone, under any circumstances.
  • Do not suggest that someone alter, skip, or deviate from their clinical care plan.

Principle 3: Protect user privacy

What is shared on the Platform is often deeply personal. It deserves to stay here.

Protecting privacy means you:

  • Do not share, screenshot, or republish another user's posts, messages, or disclosures.
  • Do not pressure other users to share more than they are comfortable sharing.
  • Are mindful that identifying details, even shared casually, can expose someone in ways they didn't intend.
  • If you are a healthcare provider or know a user personally outside this app, do not reference or leverage that relationship here.

Principle 4: No harmful content

The following are not permitted on the Platform under any circumstances:

  • Content that glorifies, encourages, or provides information about substance use outside of a supervised clinical context
  • Conduct that encourages users to cease, alter, ignore, or deviate from their prescribed medications, care team's plan, or other medical care
  • Descriptions of self-harm, suicidal ideation, or crisis states shared in a way that is graphic, instructional, or presented as aspirational
  • Sexual content of any kind
  • Harassment, threats, or targeted hostility toward any user
  • Content that discriminates based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or any other identity

If you are in crisis right now, please reach out to a crisis line or your care team immediately.

Principle 5: Do not exploit vulnerability

The therapeutic process can create deep openness and trust. Integro does not permit actions that take advantage of that trust.

Maintaining that trust means you:

  • Do not use the Platform or the Integro community to recruit users into outside groups, programs, or relationships.
  • Do not promote commercial products, services, or providers, including your own.
  • Do not engage in any form of romantic or sexual pursuit of other users.
  • Do not leverage someone's disclosed experiences or emotional state to influence, manipulate, or take advantage of them.

Principle 6: Respect the role of professional care

The Platform supports your therapeutic journey — it does not replace your clinical team. Integro doesn't provide medical treatment or advice, and encourages users to seek appropriate professional care before making medical decisions.

Respecting professional care means you:

  • Do not position yourself — or allow others to position you — as a therapeutic authority.
  • If a peer is describing symptoms, distress, or experiences that concern you, encourage them to contact their provider.
  • Report concerning user behavior to Integro if needed.
  • Trust the boundaries of peer support. While you can witness, reflect, and accompany your peers, you are not responsible for someone else's healing.
  • Do not act as anyone else's therapist while using the Platform.

Principle 7: Engage honestly

Authenticity is what makes peer support meaningful.

Engaging honestly means you:

  • Do not misrepresent your experience, credentials, or identity.
  • Do not create multiple accounts or use this Platform to manipulate community perception.
  • Engage with other users in good faith, challenge ideas respectfully if you disagree, and do not bad-faith argue, troll, or deliberately destabilize others.

A note on the Platform's AI tools

The AI in this app is a supportive tool — not a therapist, not a medical provider, and not a substitute for human connection or clinical care. Please engage with it accordingly.

The AI is designed to:

  • Help you prepare for sessions through guided reflection and intention-setting
  • Support integration through journaling prompts, grounding exercises, and open-ended conversation
  • Provide general information about the therapeutic process
  • Direct you to your care team or crisis resources when your needs exceed what it can appropriately support

The AI will never:

  • Provide clinical assessments, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations
  • Offer guidance on substances, dosing, or protocols
  • Act as a replacement for your therapist or supervising provider

The AI is powered by a large language model. It does not have clinical training or licensure. Its responses are generated, not retrieved from a clinical database — they may occasionally be imprecise or incomplete. Conversations may be reviewed by our team for safety monitoring and product improvement, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. When you use Integro AI tools, you are always talking to an AI — never a human — unless the interface clearly indicates otherwise.

Reporting and enforcement

If you witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to Integro. All reports are reviewed with the objective of maintaining safety. We are a small team — reports are triaged by severity and reviewed as promptly as our capacity allows, but we cannot guarantee immediate response times.

This means the safety of the Integro community depends meaningfully on its members. Reporting violations, supporting peers responsibly, and modeling the values in this document are essential to how this community functions.

Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform, depending on severity. We will always prioritize the safety of the community over the participation of any individual. We do not tolerate retaliation against users who report in good faith. Serious violations (imminent harm, illegal activity) may be reported to authorities.
